Let’s talk color.
I’m going to be starting a new series each week where we look at a specific color or shade and different ideas for adding a “splash of color” to our home decorating. When I first decided to do this series, I knew I had to start with lime green because it is my favorite accent color. I love our lime green dishes, slightly hidden behind frosted glass doors!
Lime green is a color that is refreshing, calming and invigorating in any room.
But it has something that other colors – such as certain shades of blue – don’t have.
It’s also a bit funky.
I like funky. I’m pretty conservative by most people’s standards, but I like to add a little funky here and there because it’s fun and different and just, well, funky.
Traditional fabrics and patterns feel more modern when they come in various shades of lime green.
And whether you use lime green as a main feature in a room or just add little touches here and there, it is a beautiful color that can be incorporated in almost any home.
Do you have any lime green accents in your home?

I have a very tall lime green bottle with a top that gets moved around my family room. It adds height to places and can be quite a statement when I put it on the mantle or on our dry bar. It is the only lime green (or any green) in the room. The bottle was one of those TJ Maxx finds and is a hand me down from my sister in law.
I love to browse over the pictures you choose! I am inspired every time I see your posts! Thank you again.
I do, I do! I have green towels and washclothes. My tablecloth is lime green. My primary decorating colors are red, yellow, white and black, but I’ve been adding more lime green into the mix. It’s such a great summer color! Love the pictures.
We have lime green in our daughters room and in our kitchen. I love it too, but now I have more ideas of where it could go after looking at these images.
That’s funny, Stacie, because I’ve been dreaming about other places I could use it too since I put that post up! LOL!
I love lime green; Real Simple and House Beautiful uses it so well. Great inspiration!
